The process water treatment starts already in the sludge trap. The solid matter which is not trapped here is found later in the bio-reactor and contaminates it needlessly. Conversely, non-deposited matter in the post-sedimentation tank gets back into the process chain and can cause damage there. Therefore the tanks in which the sedimentation processes take place must be dimensioned sufficiently large.
In order to make the pre- and post-sedimentation tanks more efficient, FARITEC has developed the flow-controlled lamella separator in stainless steel. It breaks down and calms the incoming flow of contaminated water in a single step.

Through this, the efficiency of the sedimentation is increased by up to 70% and so enables the use of considerably smaller tanks.
In addition, suspended and floating matter, cellulose and oils contained in the water are retained.
